WWW Hits Milestone: Over 25,000 Pupils Taught!
At Wicked Weather Watch, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve reached a significant milestone in our mission to raise awareness about climate change—we have now educated over 25,000 pupils since we began our work in 2016! This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation to understand the urgency of climate change and take meaningful action.
Record-Breaking Year: 4,300 Pupils in 2023
In the past academic year alone, we taught a record-breaking 4,300 pupils, making it our most impactful year to date. Our interactive workshops, multi-school events, explorer talks, and teaching resources have resonated deeply with students, equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to engage with climate challenges both locally and globally.
Growing Ambitions
As we celebrate this achievement, we’re even more excited about what lies ahead. This year, we aim to expand our reach even further, bringing our vital message to even more schools and communities, all across the UK. Developing our virtual programmes alongside our in-person and local offerings has allowed more schools and pupils to participate in our sessions, reducing barriers for children accessing climate change education. We believe that educating young people is one of the most effective ways to create lasting environmental change, and every session we deliver builds on that mission.
