Make your donation go further with Gift Aid

Wicked Weather Watch is passionate about letting young people know all about climate change and inspiring them to conserve the vulnerable environments of our planet. But we can only do it with your help.  With no office costs your donation goes directly to helping us work with even more children and schools.  Whether you choose to make a one off donation, give a monthly gift*, organise an event or undertake a personal challenge, every penny counts.

If you are a UK tax-payer Wicked Weather Watch can claim the basic rate of tax (20%) on your donations from HMRC. All we need is a signed Gift Aid Declaration Form.

*Donations are processed by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) through their secure online facility.

Big Give Christmas Challenge – Let’s Celebrate Climate Action!

Eco-anxiety is a top-three concern for children. Fun, skill-oriented learning is critical for young people to engage with nature and lead more sustainable lives. Our Schools Climate Action Programme, which launched in September of 2021, is providing young people, teachers and schools the knowledge, skills and motivation they need to take climate action.

We have been working with 15 schools across the South-West over the course of a year to help take these schools to the next step in taking action to combat climate change. Let’s Celebrate Climate Action is the finale event of this programme. The event will reduce eco-anxiety through pupils sharing positive achievements to tackle climate change and provide an exchange of ideas for further action.

How you can help

Every donation, no matter how large or small, to “Let’s Celebrate Climate Action” will be DOUBLED! Every penny that we raise between the 30th November – 7th December will go towards creating a finale event so that the pupils and teachers involved in our Schools Climate Action Programme will get the most out of the year-long programme. This event will help reduce eco-anxiety in young people and give teachers the knowledge and confidence they need to teach about climate change and sustainability in the classroom.

How does it work?

The Big Give Christmas Campaign happens in two stages

Stage 1: Pledges
We have secured pledges of £2,750 from wonderful local businesses, individuals, and our Champion Funder – Reed Environment.

Stage 2: The Christmas Campaign
We are aiming to raise at least a further £2,750 between the 30th of November and the 7th of December. Each £ raised through online donations to “Let’s Celebrate Climate Action” during this time will unlock our pledged funds, meaning we could raise a fantastic total of £5,500

Watch this space for updates as we get closer to this epic week of fundraising and thank you in advance for your support!
