An experiment has been taking place in the Arctic tundra for the last 20 years to look at whether mammoth-like creatures could help stop the release of greenhouse gases from the ground.

This article in the Independent looks at how large animals could help to re-create ecosystems that could keep the ground cooler, therefore slowing the melting of permafrost which has large amount of greenhouse gases trapped in it. Do you think bringing back the mammoth could work, or is it too far-fetched…?
