It’s been a busy week for explorer and WWW volunteer, Rob Hudson, as he visited two schools in one week to talk about his Arctic adventures and climate change.
Pupils at Pillowell School and Priestley Primary School are both doing the topic ‘Frozen Kingdom’ this term, and so Rob’s visit was a chance to explore what the frozen landscapes of the Arctic are really like and to ask a lot of challenging questions about ice sheets and icebergs!
Chris Forster from Pillowell School said: “I would just like to say a huge thank you for today’s visit to Pillowell School. The children were really engaged in the afternoon and I have never seen them ask somebody so many questions! Rob was great fun and the children got so much out of the day! Thank you for making the topic this term, even more exciting than before!”
